Section 1: Applicant Terms: Persons possessing the necessary qualifications may apply for internships on HighSchoolInterns.com, and be admitted as a registrant on the site. HighSchoolInterns.com has designated the following applicant qualifications:

(A) Age: There will not be a minimum age set by HighSchoolInterns.com to register and apply to internships on the site. Employers at their own discretion may set age limitations for internship postings that would be applicable to any applicants for said posting.

(B) Education: All students that register and apply for internships on the site must be in high school and intend on going to college if that is a requirement for the career path. If a student does not meet the academic requirements to graduate in the spring semester and has accepted an internship, HighSchoolInterns.com reserves the right to cancel the internship offer at anytime.

(C) Academic Requirements: HighSchoolInterns.com does not set any academic requirements in addition to Section 1 (B). However, the employer reserves the right to add specific qualifications for an internship posting.

(D) Internship Term: The applicant will attend the high school internship over the summer unless a separate arrangement is discussed with the employer. If an applicant elects not to go to college, then the internship will terminate August 31 or at an earlier date in August, or July as set by the employer.

(E) Internship Compensation: HighSchoolInterns.com recommends compensation for all internships. Yet, the employer is ultimately responsible for deciding whether to compensate and at what amount.

(F) Criminal & Drug Use History: HighSchoolInterns.com will defer to the employer for deciding criminal and drug use policy for applicants. However, HighSchoolInterns.com strongly recommends that anyone with a criminal or drug use history disclose such information to the employer in the application process.

(G) Liability: HighSchoolInterns.com serves as a conduit for high school students and employers to meet for the purpose of providing internships. HighSchoolInterns.com does not warrant or represent the accuracy of the applicants’ information to the employer. As such, HighSchoolInterns.com shall be held harmless from any injuries or illegal acts that may occur as a result of the internship.

Section 2: Applicant Discipline: If at anytime an applicant is found to be dishonest in the registration or application process, the applicants’ registration will be terminated, any and all internship applications will be deleted as well as notification will be sent to employers, school administrators, and/or parents.
